The ballot is now closed.
The ‘final offer’ made, by the Employers’ side of the NJNC, amounts to the following:
All EIS-FELA members are recommended to vote YES in this Consultative Ballot to both Strike Action and Action Short of Strike.
VOTE YES TO STRIKE ACTION
VOTE YES TO ACTION SHORT OF STRIKE
This Pay Offer amounts to a significant real terms pay cut as inflation currently dwarfs the pay offer, and it may lead to a drop in your living standards as your pay will be worth less than it was a year ago despite rising costs. Further Education lecturers have stood up and delivered for students during the pandemic. The EIS FELA Executive believes that our FE work needs to be fairly acknowledged.
If you have not received your voting email by Monday 14th February, and it is not in your spam or junk folder, then please contact firstname.lastname@example.org with your full name, EIS number, address and the name of your establishment.
Consequences: If members vote for industrial action in this consultative ballot then we will take the result to employers and seek an improved offer. If it is insufficient then we may move to a statutory ballot. If members do not support industrial action in this consultative ballot then we may have to accept the current offer.
