City & Guilds in partnership with EIS is pleased to invite notes of interest for Unit 1 of this fully online programme, available to teachers across Scotland. Funding: Unit 1 is fully funded by the Scottish Government
This SCQF level 11 Masters in Education (MPPA) is designed for practising teachers and educators to develop their skills and experience. The programme is a comprehensive qualification that offers structured supports for self-study, work based development activities and end of unit assignments. It is completed online via City & Guild’s Learning Assistant e-portfolio system.
Unit 1 Reflective practice, teachers and a changing context (Credit value: 30 SHE M points)
This unit will encourage candidates to reflect on their experience through critical reading and professional enquiry. It introduces participants to four recurring themes that will permeate the content and processes of the overall programme, which aspires to prepare teachers embarking on a programme of Career-Long Professional Learning. Funding levels for Units 2 and 3 are dependent on Scottish Government, however will be part-funded by the candidate, with monthly payment options available.
All candidates who complete a Unit will receive a certificate of unit credit, with those completing all three Units achieving the Masters Professional Practitioner Award (MPPA).
