COSLA, the Music Education Partnership Group (MEPG) and the Scottish Government have published joint guidance for local authorities, to support them in their decision making in relation to instrumental music tuition policies. 

From the EIS perspective the new guidance does not address the significant issues facing IM provision in our schools during a time of austerity budgeting; nonetheless Instrumental Music Teachers and LA Secretaries may find it useful for reference.
